Foxconn buys more land outside its factory site with purchase of 91 acres in Sturtevant


Foxconn Technology Group has bought another 91 acres of farmland just outside its designated development zone, further expanding its Wisconsin real estate holdings.

The latest purchase, for $4.6 million, gives Foxconn 186 acres on the south edge of Sturtevant, kitty-corner from the site of the electronics firm’s planned factory and research complex. Together with purchases of nearby parcels earlier this year, Foxconn paid more than $9.2 million for the 186 acres in Sturtevant.

In late 2017, the company also bought 65 acres about four miles south, in Kenosha County, for $1 million...
