EQ, a Minnesota-based financial services and corporate services company, is establishing operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The project is expected to create 180 jobs on the city’s northwest side.

...To secure the company’s investment in Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has authorized EQ to receive up to $1.25 million in tax credits over the next three years. Ken Notes: Do not know when the deal was made, but are tax credits going to continue to be a hit and miss thing we offer to those in the know or available to all new or expanding businesses??? It is interesting that the 1.25 million (7K per new hire) is on the low side of what we have seen lately. I have suggested 2K per employee over ten years as a benchmark or starting point for a legislative option.
