Ken Notes: Now WHEDA would be a great place to address housing! And while it has Economic Development in its name it is a housing authority. While they are guided buy federal legislation, we could look at ways of using the organization to fund homes that are not supplemented but just smaller, more dense, and lower cost. This current offering is about 128K per unit and they are rentals.

What if we worked with cities to provide sub 100K units of housing that could be purchased by anyone. The former Governor is living in 1,600 Square feet, why not build stand alone homes from 500 to 1,500 sq. ft. in nice neighborhoods that could be purchased by those making 20 to 50K. The rest of the market will take care of itself.
