Riverlife developers plan condo building, amphitheater along Wisconsin River

WAUSAU — Wausau`s riverfront could soon see the development of condos and an outdoor amphitheater to add to its growing list of amenities. 

According to a proposal brought to the city on Tuesday night at the Economic Development Committee meeting and approved, the development group Riverlife LLC wants to build 20 to 24 condos, which would range in price from $185,000 to $395,000. 

The LLC, which is composed of local developers Bob Ohde, Mitch Viegut and Fernando Riveron, is asking that the city provide the land for the condos at a cost of $1, and $485,000 from the TIF to help with cleanup and flood mitigation, according to the proposal.
