WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAW) -- Canadian aluminum manufacturer Matalco, Inc. announced Wednesday it plans to build an $80 million manufacturing plant in Wisconsin Rapids. Once built, the 110,000 square foot facility will employ 80 permanent, full-time employees. Annual production is expected to exceed 230 million pounds of high-quality aluminum billet. The plant will be built in the Rapids East Commerce Center, a 175-acre site on the northeast side of Wisconsin Rapids, off State Highway 54.
