Wisconsin Dells is courting a more grown-up audience, beyond water parks


Spring break, one of the busiest seasons of the year for the Wisconsin Dells area, is just around the corner.

The Wisconsin Dells has more than four million visitors a year and is growing to accommodate more than just families, according to the Wisconsin Dells Visitors and Convention Bureau.

Romy Snyder, the executive director for the bureau, said about 40 percent of guests are adults without children and visitors from meetings and conventions. She said changes and expansions in the area are creating more than just family fun.

“You are seeing more development along the lines of more wineries popping up, more restaurants that cater to adults, nightlife,” she said...

Ken Notes: Interesting. On that note Madison could use a couple of family hotel venues. I am sure many EPIC trainees would love to bring their families to the city...
