The city could soon see new housing for dozens of families.The
Wisconsin Rapids Planning Commission approved 4-1 the rezoning required
for Brookfield-based developer Premier Real Estate Management to build a
48-unit, multi-family apartment complex on Washington Street,
near Mid-State Technical College. Voting no to the proposal was District
7 representative Thaddeus Kubisiak, who is the only City Council member
on the commission. ..
