Marketing Wisconsin, incentives and immigration among recommendations in WMC workforce report

The Future Wisconsin Project on Friday unveiled a report with 30 recommendations for the state to address its workforce challenges, including continuing talent attraction campaigns, incentivizing people to move to the state and fostering more immigration.

The project is an initiative of the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Foundation. Kurt Bauer, president and CEO of WMC, said the project is meant to be a mechanism that brings together a range of stakeholders to address pressing issues in the state.

Ken Notes: I agree, but first WMC needs to become far less political so that their voice is seen as more pro jobs and business and not as political agenda driven.

If the WEDC wants to be funded, and I agree that it should be, they need to ask the new administration exactly what they would like to see from the organization.

I know WMC will be upset with these observations and suggest I do not know what I am talking about but at least I can demonstrate my advocacy is about jobs, growth, business and the Future of Wisconsin....
