Though the rate of growth continued to slow, Dane County accounted for a quarter of Wisconsin’s population growth in 2018.
County-level population estimates released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau show the county added about 5,584 people, more than any other county in the state.
Ken Notes: This is good and bad news. We need to develop market value housing stock that is affordable to the service industry, trades and entry level labor market. We do not build 100K or 150K new homes in Dane County, we should, but we do not. This by the way should not be a government subsidized or mandated program it should be a zoning and development partnership with the private sector. We are forcing thousands to commute into the County every day...
