OPINION: In-state tuition for Dreamers would benefit all of Wisconsin


Ever since I arrived to Wisconsin from Mexico at age seven, I’ve been fascinated by how technology makes our lives easier. I’ve eagerly followed every release of the iPhone, built my own computer and dreamed of working in the field. But after graduating from Milwaukee’s Pulaski High School in 2013, I realized I’d have to put those plans on hold. College was always financially out of reach because Wisconsin state schools don’t offer in-state tuition to undocumented students like me....

Ken Notes: I believe that we have many undocumented people among us who deserve the chance to go to college. Their parents worked our farms, built our machines and houses, and took care of our homes and children. Now the next generation wants to accomplish even more. If we are worried about rapists, criminals, and drug lords, lets prosecute and deport them while we embrace those who work hard, obey our laws, and contribute to our society...
