The Buzz: REI submits site plan in Grand Chute

REI Co-op submitted plans to the town of Grand Chute for review of a proposed 20,500-square-foot building at 3850 W. Wisconsin Ave. 

The outdoor company’s new store would rise at the northern end of the WG&R-led development at the intersection of West Wisconsin Avenue and Interstate 41.

REI’s site plan will be considered at the town’s May 21 Plan Commission meeting. 

REI, which stands for Recreational Equipment, Inc., is the country’s largest consumer co-op with more than 18 million members.

Ken Notes: The REI stores can be amazing with a very loyal following. They also offer classes and give back to the environment. I am a Rutabaga loyalist personally but if they do not have it REI is next on my list...
