Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. CEO Mark Hogan to leave post later this year

MADISON - The leader of the state`s jobs agency will leave his post later this year just as the state`s largest economic development project in history gets off the ground.

Mark Hogan, Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. CEO, said this week he will leave his job as leader of the agency by fall.

Melissa Baldauff, spokeswoman for Gov. Tony Evers, said the announcement isn`t news to the administration. She said Hogan had previously told former Gov. Scott Walker and Evers he planned to leave in the fall...

...Should Hogan leave before Sept. 1, the agency`s board will pick his successor under a new law Republican lawmakers passed in December aimed at transferring power away from Evers and toward the GOP-controlled Legislature...

   ...more

Ken Notes: Mark has been a strong leader for the organization and kept his eye on the prize regarding Foxconn. If I were the Governor I would put forward a nominee or a recommendation even if the appointment were not mine to make. Letting Paul Jadin finish what he wanted to start comes to mind. He gets business, local politics, and economic development. He is a fiscal conservative and can work with everyone.
