Alliant Energy Among Tops in Economic Development

Alliant energy has been chosen by Site Selection magazine as among the top 20 US utilities based on the company’s contribution to the local economies and communities in its service area.  Alliant, which provides electricity for most of Sheboygan County, was noted for collaborating with local, regional and state partners for delivering more than $1.4 billion in new capital investment and more than 36 hundred new jobs in its Iowa and Wisconsin service areas last year.  The Beaver Dam Commerce Park was noted among projects that help Alliant make Site Selection’s top-20 list for the first time.  Alliant was selected from a field of around 3,300 electric utilities across the country, including around 900 cooperatives.   ...more
