Johnson-Sabir, Kirgues among appointees to new WEDC committee focused on startups


The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. on Wednesday announced the names of Wisconsin business leaders who will make up the state`s new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee, which was created earlier this year to develop opportunities for startup companies in Wisconsin.

The diverse list of 15 appointees includes JoAnne Johnson-Sabir, co-founder of Milwaukee`s Sherman Phoenix who recently joined a new outfit at American Family Insurance; John Miller, founder and principal at Arenberg Holdings; and Erik Iverson, managing director of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, the patent and technology licensing arm of the University of Wisconsin-Madison...
