Wisconsin Workforce Development Secretary trying to recruit and retain workers


Wisconsin’s Workforce Development Secretary is finishing a state tour designed to keep talented workers in the state.

Secretary Caleb Frostman visited a software company in Eau Claire today.

This month, he’s been going to different companies to learn about their strategies for recruiting and retaining workers.

“I think the folks we’ve seen be successful have been creative… have thought outside the box. They’ve been inclusive whether it’s a marginalized population… there’s some folks that haven’t been in the workforce before but they’ve been also very aggressive so they’re sending unsolicited messages on LinkedIn,” Frostman said...

Ken Notes: Has anyone mentioned my tuition tax credit idea. A bottom line income tax credit for interest paid to State colleges and Tech schools. Affordable, keeps graduates in the State and encourages use of state institutions.
