Cycling takes the spotlight in Wausau: Trail expansion, Wisconsin Bike Fed summit

WAUSAU - Bicycle advocates will showcase cycling in all its forms in the Wausau area this week, as a state cycling group holds its summit here, and a local mountain-biking club celebrates new trails.

It starts on Thursday when the Central Wisconsin Offroad Cycling Coalition, a group of volunteers that develops and maintains mountain biking trails throughout the region, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of a single-track trail system in Ringle.
