U.S. Cellular is planning to deliver 5G cellular service to its customers in Wisconsin by the first quarter of 2020, according to an announcement from the Chicago-based telecommunications company.
The company plans to initially deploy fifth-generation cell service in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Racine. U.S. Cellular also plans to deploy 5G in Iowa. Wisconsin and Iowa are two of the company`s largest markets, said Michael Irizarry, executive vice president and chief technology officer of U.S. Cellular.
