WEC Energy`s Gale Klappa meets regularly with Foxconn, says it will deliver on 13,000 jobs promise

WEC Energy Group executive chairman Gale Klappa says he holds regular meetings with Foxconn Technology Group representatives and he believes the company’s Racine County projects remain on track to deliver the original plan for “13,000 well-paying jobs.”

Klappa also serves as co-chairman of the Milwaukee 7 regional economic development group and was intimately involved with recruiting Taiwan-based Foxconn to southeast Wisconsin. During a Nov. 6 conference call with WEC Energy Group investment analysts, he revealed that he meets every six weeks “with the Foxconn folks.”
