The Milwaukee County Transit System recently posted a request for qualifications for the construction of its planned $54.9 million, 9-mile bus rapid transit line between downtown Milwaukee and Wauwatosa, which was designed to connect bus riders to jobs, education and recreation.
The system will use electric buses and is projected to average more than 9,500 weekday riders by 2035, according to MCTS. Services are expected to begin in late 2022.
