Milwaukee area beer gardens are growing. This summer`s lineup is to include new sites in downtown Milwaukee, Bayshore and Waukesha.

The growing popularity of Milwaukee area beer gardens is creating new locations beyond their traditional sites in parks as summer beckons — and the pandemic shows signs of retreating.

Along with providing outdoor gathering spaces for people to have fun, some of the new beer gardens will bring more life to underused sites, including a downtown Milwaukee parking lot and an empty building at Glendale`s redeveloping Bayshore mixed-use project.
