An existing industrial building in the city of Pewaukee will soon become an Amazon warehouse and distribution center that is expected to create more than 130 jobs. The common council approved the project on Monday.
The empty building at W232 N2950 Roundy Circle East sits on 16.5 acres and is 165,000 square feet. According to city documents, the estimated project cost is roughly $13 million.
Kyle DeGiulio, an Amazon manager of economic development policy, wrote to the plan commission April 9 to say the building would support the company`s same-day delivery program network....
