Northwest Wisconsin board receives Reentry Program funding


Grant will help 200 individuals transition from incarceration to the workforce in the 10-county region that includes Douglas County.

A grant from the U.S. Department of Labor will help incarcerated individuals in 10 counties in Northwest Wisconsin make the transition from imprisonment to employment.

The Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board received $472,000 in federal grant funding through the labor department’s Reentry Program. It was one of four workforce development boards in Wisconsin to receive the funding.
