Affordable housing, early childhood programs top list for use of Appleton`s COVID-19 aid

APPLETON - Advocates for affordable housing, early childhood programs and mental health services lobbied city officials this week for a share of the nearly $15 million in COVID-19 aid that Appleton will receive through the American Rescue Plan Act.

Other community members requested the money be used to support the tourism industry, Fox Cities Exhibition Center, Thompson Center on Lourdes and Harbor House Domestic Abuse Program, all of which were negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic....
